Chalki Town: The capital of Chalki is situated at the east coast, on the bay of Nimborio. Nimborio or Emborio has been characterized as traditional and honorary  as a municipality. The people live by fishing, cattle breeding and, lately, by tourism.
The town of Chalki, with its narrow streets, has a noble air about it that reflects its past glory. Emborio, has six tavernas and three bars.
