Argos Orestiko is the second biggest town in the whole of the prefecture, after that of Kastoria. The important commercial center is situated only 12km. away from Kastoria, built at an altitude of 660m.
If you visit Argos Orestiko do not forget to buy some of the beautiful handmade textiles. At the location of Asproklisia, (meaning «white church»in Greek), in Nostimo, the visitor can find the impressive petrified forest.
