Ammouliani is one of the islands in the gulf of Aghio Oros (Holy Mountain), also known as Sigitikos Gulf. It is located across the beach of Trypiti, from where visitors can take the ferry to Ammouliani (a 10 minute distance). Trypiti is near Nea Roda and Ouranoupolis, approximately 70 km from Chalkidiki’s capital, Polygyros and 120 km from Thessaloniki. Visitors that come to Ammouliani on boat can moor in the port. Others can rent a boat from the beach of Meghali Ammos and visit the nearby islands Drenia or the other beaches of Ammouliani.

The island used to be a dependency of the Monastery of Vatopedi in Aghio Oros until 1925. Nowadays, it is the only inhabited island in the Sigitikos Gulf, with about 600 inhabitants. It’s 4,5 km2 is a popular destination for visitors who wish to relax and have a peaceful vacation, while exploring the beautiful sandy beaches, clear waters and green hills.
