Amfilochia is a beautiful, scenic town situated at the deepest recess of the Amvrakikos bay. If you come, do not forget to visit the ruins of the medieval castle overlooking the town. Under the Ottoman Empire, the settlement was known as Karvassaras. Nearby beaches can be found at Sparto, Agios Georgios and Bouka. There are various hotels, tavernas and cafeterias to choose from.
