Almiros is the second biggest town in Magnissia, 35km. away from Volos. It is, indeed, a very fertile place with wheat and tobacco plants. Just outside Almiros, the visitor can find the forest of Kouri, an area with artificial lakes and various species of wildlife. The beach is ideal for swimming with crystal clear waters. Every June, a fishing evening is organized here.
