The traditional village of Agios Lavrendis is situated 20km away from Volos, built at an altitude of 600m. The visitor can find here some rooms to let, traditional tavernas and cafeterias. During the third weekend of June, the festival of cherries, («kerasia» in Greek), takes place here.
