The village of Afissos, amphitheatrically built, is situated on the foot of mountain Pelio, 25km. away from Volos, covered in olive groves. The wide beach consists of three sandy bays, all of which are ideal for swimming and relaxation. Along the waterfront the visitor may find several tavernas, cafeterias and bars. All houses follow the traditional architectural style. There is also a satisfactory choice of accommodation, including hotels and rooms to let.
