We, the people of the Irene Palace Hotel, will see to it that your stay in our hotel while visiting our beautiful island is memorable for its good times and dazzling views.

The Irene Palace is a "Guest Friendly" hotel. At all times a home for the holidays to the family, it offers rest and relaxation to parents, game and pastime to children. From your room you can gaze at the sea of the Aegean, while from the hotel garden you can dive straight into the crystal clear waters of Kolymbia Beach.

It is situated in the scenic, lush expanse of Kolymbia and it consists a vantage point during holiday making on the island, as in just very little time you can find yourselves at any direction or any spot you may wish. For that reason your children will readily follow you on your excursions, as they will be able to enjoy them and not get weary.

Our programme "Local customs and Events""
Our clients' input into the programme for Traditions & Customs presents them with experiences and knowledge for life:

Easter in Rhodes, in Irene Palace is a feel you don't want to miss on.

In April and May we observe the life cycle and the transformation of the silkworm.

On May Day, we pick flowers and all together make wreaths on a welcoming greeting to the Spring's coming. As the tradition has it in the adjacent village Arhangelos, we too knead the dough for our bread.

Greek Cuisine classes, Mediterranean Diet, local recipes and instructions on making traditional dishes, are offered for the guests from abroad, for them to treat Ouzo delicacies to their friends back home after they return from their holiday.

June 26, the ancient, pagan custom of Kleidon, summons us around a bonfire lit by the May Day wreaths, over which the bold take flying leaps.

A Mass and holy bread making take place in our church of St. Irene on the 5th May and other celebrations. With our guests participating, we follow the local customs and traditions on every chance.

The hotel boasts: 247 rooms, conveniently furnished, with a balcony overlooking the peaceful, turquoise blue sea of Afandou with the crystal clear waters, the refreshingly cool swimming pool, the gardens looking at Panayia Tsambika mountain or the seven springs.

Rooms can turn from twin-bedded to three-bed or four-bed rooms, single-bed or family rooms, for greater space and satisfaction for the children.

In Kolymbia you will walk along the eye-catching long road with the thick Eucalyptuses along its sides, legacy left behind by the Italians over a century ago. You will enjoy a coffee at the local cafes and buy souvenirs or personal objects from the stores.
