Metohi Georgila is a quiet resting place, built in 1908 by Dr Styliano Georgila, a personal friend of Eleftherios Venizelos. This House was not only a home, but also a shelter of hospitality for his friends and family.
Years later… wanting to continue the warmth and the generous Cretan hospitality, which by the way our family kept for the last three generations, we reconstructed the building and we created 5 independent residences. Our inspiration wasn’t the need of a business, but the joy of offering and charring.
Metohi Georgila is located at Pyrgos Psilonerou, 15,5 klm from the central city of Chania. It’s only 1,5 klm away from the magnificent sandy beach, 1,5 klm from the market center of Maleme village and 4,5 klm away from the recreational and market center of Platanias village.
The unique natural surroundings and the peaceful family atmosphere will give you the possibility to enjoy moments of relaxation away from the touristic action, but very close to the most beautiful beaches of our county.
While you arrive, upon request, we can pick you up from the airport or the port of Chania city, and lead you to our place.

Wanting to bring our guests closer to the Cretan traditional hospitality, we offer fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs from our estate, as well as fresh homemade jam, produced by mama Ourania by our own fruits.
At the laundry area there is a washing machine for your clothes from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
For our little friends, there is a playground and a small house built with non toxic materials and colors.
There is also a bench for parents who want to relax guarding their children.
Pets are welcome upon request.
Guest Houses
By arriving at Metohi Georgila each visitor sees an authentic, old, stone built house, constructed in the beginning of the 20th century. Redesigned and reconstructed with respect to the architectural tradition of its era but with all the amenities a modern guest deserves.
The central house was divided in four fully equipped residences. Titika (4-5 guests) and Ariadni (2-3 guests) in the first floor, Erato (2-3 guests) and Iasona (4-5 guests) in the main floor
The stable building was redesigned to a 2 storey, stone built maisonette, Artemis (5-7 guests) and the columbarium building, to a warm nest, Love (Agapi) (2-3 guests).
The structure of each residence was dictated by the main building and all interventions preserved its special character. All buildings are stone built. The main building (neo classical design) has tall ceilings, while the other two buildings are design to give an agricultural feeling.
All five residences are equipped with furniture and accessories from our old personal family collection. They are also equipped with modern amenities such as Wi- Fi connection, telephone, fully equipped kitchen, Plasma TVs.
The private and shared exterior areas complete the relaxing scenery near the nature. Each residence has its own yard or veranda. The gardens, with traditional and representative Cretan flora, offer color and smells throughout the year.
You can begin your day, at the shared pool, from 9:00 am, enjoying your coffee, the homemade pastry of mama Ourania, or a snack, and finish it relaxing with a drink. There are 11 big and comfortable wooden deck chairs around the pool, and 8 of them at the elevated patio – old wine press.
Daily cleaning service, bed linen and towels, change every 2 days. Bathroom expendable supplies are replenished every 2 days. We also offer our guests biologically produced fruits from our estate.
Services such as children keeping, car or bike rental and coiffure services are provided upon request.
Agapi
Agapi is a basement, 2 room residence of 25 square meters and it used to be the old columbarium of the house. It’s designed to give an agricultural feeling, with a veranda of 10 square meters and visible stone at the outside walls. The internal ceiling is covered with old wooden roof timbers.
The main color of the house is blue.
You can find the kitchen and the living room in the first room, and the bedroom, with a big traditional, iron made bed, in the second.
Agapi can host up to 3 guests.

Titika
Titika is located on the first floor of the main building, it was the old bedroom of our grandmother and this is why it is named after her. It is a 50 square meters apartment consisted of tree basic rooms.
In the first room, there are the kitchen and the living room with the sofa bed and the dining table for six persons, while in the second, there is the first bedroom with 2 iron made single beds, and one bathroom. In the third room there is the second bedroom with the big double, iron made bed. In the apartment there is an extra bathroom.
On the 63 square meters veranda there are sun beds, and a dining table for six persons, to enjoy your meals with the view of the pool.
Titika can host up to 5 guests.

Ariadni is located on the first floor of the main building, and it was the old living room of grandmother Titika and the desk of Dr Stylianos Georgilas.
It is a two room residence of 40 square meters.
In the first room there are, the kitchen with the red tiles and the living room with the sofa bed and the dining table for 4 persons. The second room is a bedroom with a double iron made bed.
Ariadni can host up to 3 guests. It’s equipped with:

Artemis
Artemis is a 2 storey house of 70 square meters which was created by the reconstruction of the old stable. The visible stone on the outside walls gives a traditional appearance which matches perfectly the surroundings.
In the basement there are the dining room and the kitchen and apart from the A/C there is also a traditional wood stove for the cold winter nights. You can see the bathroom and the big bedroom with the double bed. A wooden handmade ladder leads the guest to the first floor where the second living room with the sofa bed is. There is also a second bathroom and a 3 bed bedroom. For the accommodation of the guests, there is a second small kitchen with a small refrigerator and the basic equipment.
The veranda of the house is at the second floor and has a dining table for 6 persons.

Villa Erato
Erato is a basement, 2 room residence of 38 square meters, and it is located were the old warehouse of the house used to be.
All rooms are designed to be fully operated by special needs people. Bright and cool colors create a very pleasant and calm atmosphere.
There is a 24 square meters veranda outside the house with a dining table for 4 persons. The veranda can be also reached with the use of a ramp.
Inside the house there are the kitchen and a spacious living room with dining table and sofa bed. There is also a bedroom with a double iron made bed and a big specially designed bathroom.
Erato can host up to 3 guests. It’s equipped with:

Iasonas
Iasonas is a basement residence created where the old kitchen of the house was, and it has been separated in 4 rooms. It was a spacious place of 75 square meters where the family spent the most of the day hours.
In the main room there are a living room and a dining room with a modern fireplace. It is decorated with old and well preserved furniture. Opposite this room there are two double bedrooms with a private bathroom in each one of them. The one bathroom is equipped with a shower and the other with a bathtub. Finally a door with colored glass leads to the spacious, fully equipped kitchen.
The house has verandas in both sides of the building. At the north veranda there is a dining table for 6 persons and a view to the sea and the street, while at the south veranda there is a table for your morning coffee with a view to the garden and the pool.
Iasonas can host up to 5 guests. It is equipped with:
